Sunday was such a nice day to go bird watching! Thanks to our friends taking us along on their Bald Eagle Watching Adventure! It was so much fun - I have never seen so many Bald Eagles in one place. It was spectacular! At one point, we counted 13 in one section. Though I don't have a telephoto lens, I did try my best at getting some good pics of these majestic creatures. We also had a fun time playing on the frozen lake and the clouds were just awesome! I hope you like these, I look forward to going out again to see if I can get some closer shots.

As I drove to work this morning the words - fantastically gorgeous - kept running through my mind as I looked around me at the ice covered trees and the thick fog hanging over the already snow white ground. Everything in me just wanted to pull over, get out, and roam around taking pictures of the ice trees, and ice weeds, and the fog. But since I was already, slightly, late for work - I thought it was best if I just took a couple - I mean I was already late, so what's a few extra minutes...right? :)
So when I got around to editing the pictures, I decided to change the color of the sky to fit my mood this morning, because in my head PINK just screams "fantastically gorgeous" :)
Over the weekend I dehydrated Cherry Tomatoes, Hungarian Yellow Wax Peppers, Ancho Chiles, Jalapenos, and a few Romas. I am most excited about the Cherry Tomatoes because those I use as my Sun Dried Tomatoes. I keep them dry and don't place them in the oil - mainly because I want them to last a lot longer. The other one I am excited about are the Ancho Chiles - with those I grind into a spice jar. I use those to have on my eggs, to flavor salsas with, etc. I am so thankful that we have had hotter weather the last few weeks, so our plants can thrive as much as they can before it gets cold. Thank you, Lord!
