Craft Night

Tonight was our first craft night in a long time. We had 7 people show up. The room was filled with laughter, friendship, creativity, and just down-right-fun! I have been wanting to do this for quite a while and finally just picked a date and did it. There was crocheting, beading, jewelry making, knitting, card making, and cross stitch.

At one point I stopped beading and watched the creativeness of my friends just fill the room. My friend Nova was crocheting so fast I was pretty sure there was smoke coming from her hook. Then there was Sam and her massive amounts of beads, all mituculusly put in their little compartments so she could find everything by size and color. And I thought I had a lot of beads. Wowzers! Next there was Casey & Thorsten (the newlyweds) - watching them create cards together just made everyone "ooo and awe". Across from me was Bev and Gwen. Bev was knitting a baby hat and Gwen was cross stitching a snowflake pattern.

This night was one that I had dreamed and prayed about for a long time. I am so thankful for all that came out! I am hoping that we can do it more often and even more people will come. Last but not least, at the end of the night my friend Nova said, "so we are going to do this next week? Same day same time?"

My heart is full.
