This year has been C-R-A-Z-Y to say the least. So instead of starting my seeds early like I have the last two years, I decided to direct sow a majority of them into the garden and then buy some seedlings from Ricky & Lucy's Country Greenhouse in the next town over. I am so excited to get the garden started. For the direct sow I planted - Okra, Swiss Chard, Parsley, Carrots, Cayenne Peppers, Pablano Peppers, and White & Red Bunching Onions. Today I bought the rest of the plants I needed. The majority being tomato and a few pepper plants. I am praying that the garden does well this year. I love spending time in it - when it's not too hot out. Plus I love watching all the colors pop out from the greens of the plants themselves. I love photographing the process. On days when I am sad or down, I like to look at the bright colors of what has grown in our garden in the past. It reminds me that God makes the most amazing things, with the brightest colors, and the richest tastes.
