One thing my friend Becky LOVED was entering things that she had made into the County Fair each year. She fretted, stressed, dreamed and planned. She always had SO many projects that even the fastest knitter couldn't get them all done in time. Well this year was no different. She made her list (which was huge) and set out to try and get it all finished. She made a white coverlet/shawl/sweater thingy (sorry, i don't remember what the real word for it was). It was BEAUTIFUL! She was so proud that she got it finished and with months to spare. When she passed away at the beginning of June, none of us were thinking about the fair. So some of her projects went home with her sister and her mom, where they could be cherished for a lifetime. A few weekends ago we had our fair, and some of the ladies that Becky had given gifts to throughout the year, entered those items in Memory of her. As I look at each of the pictures below, I can remember her working on so many of them. Everything she made won a ribbon. She would have been so happy! There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about her. I miss her terribly. But I am SO glad she got to be in one last Fair.
