Our friend Cody (from Chaos Acres) visited us tonight and brought Lil Bear with him. She is growing up so fast! She loves riding in the car, changing the radio station and playing with shiny things :) I totally fell in love with her tonight! We gave her some green beans to munch on - she LOVED those! The cherry tomatoes she got a little freaked out with - she bit down on one and it exploded with juice in her mouth - the look on her face was priceless!! Yes, Lil Bear is a raccoon. And yes she lives on my friends farm. They have taken care of the 4 raccoons since they were abandoned as babies.

We live in an urban area, yet we have a big backyard and are close enough to a lake that we are blessed by an abundance of wildlife. Raccoons, possums, armadillos, bats, ducks, geese and herons make regular appearances. I love playing Dr. Doolittle!

These animal visitors can be fun and they're small. But in our neighborhood it's bears now in the foothills. One got hit last week on the freeway. Sad. Leave a Reply. |
