On Wednesday my hubby and I went to look at flowers to plant and I found the most beautiful, hardy plant and I had to get it! Well I actually got 5! (2 for me and 3 for my friends Birthday). And then I looked at the name - Hen and Chicks - PERFECT! So when I got home, I looked them up online and this description, I just fell in love with:
Hen and Chicks Succulents: Sempervivum earned their popular name “hen and chicks” from their growth habit. The mother plant, or hen, sends off numerous offsets, which will cluster around her base like chicks. Plus they don't require tons of watering - now that's my kind of plant! Here are some pics I took of the little beauties. I hope you enjoy!
